Q: Your workouts look so intense! Will I be able to keep up?
A: At ReBoot Camp, you'll have opportunities to try things that are impossible to do at your gym back home. At first, they may seem daunting, but we offer a safe, caring environment in which to explore your body's natural power and abilities. Plus, everyone works out at their own pace, and if something doesn't feel comfortable for you-- Mike will immediately offer a less-intense alternative for you to begin with. Who knows what you'll be able to accomplish by the time the trip is done!
Q: I'm a single woman who would be traveling by myself. Is Tamarindo a safe place for me?
A: We understand that many people have concerns about traveling to a foreign country where they aren't fluent in the language. We can assure you that you will be very well looked after during your time with us in Costa Rica! As soon as you step off your plane, your airport pickup will be waiting to whisk you to your hotel where Mike will personally come and meet you and show you around the town. We have taken great care in choosing the best people to work with, and they all speak English very well. Also, the town of Tamarindo has clinics that offer medical care, dental care, and pharmacy services, so in the rare event that you require these services, you can rest assured that all your needs will be met.
Q: Do I need to be able to speak Spanish to participate in ReBoot Camp?
A: No! But if you want to learn, this is the perfect opportunity :-)
Q: I have some dietary restrictions, and I'm nervous about being able to find things that I can eat in a foreign country. Will this be a problem for me?
A: Meals at ReBoot Camp are amazing, and they are one of the best parts of the experience. We are very fortunate to have relationships with many of the best restaurants in Tamarindo, along with sole, private access to a fishery/restaurant right on the "Workout Zone"- where our friends (and excellent chefs) Tedi and Jason will serve up some of the freshest, most delicious seafood you've ever experienced! Don't eat fish? Not a problem! From fresh salads and rice & beans to chicken to plantains and yucca, Jason and Tedi have you covered... And don't forget the plethora of fresh fruits! Wherever you fall on the spectrum from Vegan to Carnivore-- you'll love the choices we offer! Before we depart for ReBoot Camp, you'll have the opportunity to inform Mike of any special dietary needs you have, and we will make sure that you're well taken care of.
Q: I'm interested in the "Digital Detox" that you offer during ReBoot Camp, but I'm hesitant to give up my cell phone in case of an emergency back home...
A: "Digital Detox" is an option available to any member of ReBoot Camp who desires a truly "unconnected" experience from the "real world" back home. Because we cater to the urban professional, we understand that your responsibilities to your career are very important to you. But we also know that to truly "ReBoot", sometimes you have to break your attachment to your cellphone/laptop for a few days. With "Digital Detox", we work with you to allow you to do just that- without worry! We are happy to store your cell with us, and even open up a private Facebook page where we post photos daily (with your permission) so your family and friends can follow your adventures and know you're safe and sound! Before we depart for ReBoot Camp, you'll have the opportunity to discuss with Mike the degree of "Digital Detox" you feel will benefit you best. In past ReBoot Camps, Mike has even telephoned one ReBoot Camp member's father daily to update him on his son's adventures (so he didn't have to miss out on the best surfing, of course!)
